About Us

The Tile Company are a family business with nearly 30 years experience in the Tile and Bathroom industry. Mick O'Neill, who started the company, is still in charge - his two sons are also with the company nowadays. Our Head office is in York, North Yorkshire.  We have seven showrooms based in Leeds, York, Northallerton and Scarborough, four of which have dedicated bathroom showrooms.

The company started with a small tile shop in 1988, this was on Hull Road in York. After that we opened Direct Tile Importers at Clifton Moor in York. We then opened more Direct Tile Importers branches in Northallerton and Scarborough. We no longer have the Hull Road shop, but we now have large Tile and Bathroom showrooms at Monks Cross in York (which is also our head office) as well as at  Northallerton and Leeds.
